Even Though

Even Though was part of the performance series titled Weightless Saturation. The performance were held at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Mission Hill, The Gallery at the Piano Craft Guild and Distler Performance Hall.

I, a female body, in a bronze spandex body suit, was completely covered and zipped up. My face, head, hands, and feet were all inside the bronze colored fabric and had become part of an isolated and kinetic sculpture. I laid on top of a plywood platform with a metal car suspension resting on my throat, specifically my voice box. Underneath my body, was a repeated pen written affirmation saying, “Even though I have this anxiety, I deeply and completely love and accept myself”.
