Karamele Album

from $150.00

Karamele is an EDM/Pop album that fuses Albanian instruments, proverbs, and mini language lessons with dance beats. Released as a limited-edition lathe-cut record, it celebrates Albania’s love of music and movement while preserving expressions at risk of being lost through assimilation. With lyrics in both Albanian and English, the album is meant to make you move, because movement makes memories.

Each record is hand-made on a lathe. All songs are mixed and mastered by Graybeard Recording Studios.

Each track builds on themes of heritage, joy, and preservation, weaving together sound and storytelling. The album connects to my exhibition Karamele/Candy, where garments and embroidered clothing from my family are crystallized into sculptural forms of memory. Just as the objects map bodily history, the music preserves language and cultural expressions, creating a space where tradition and contemporary sound meet on the dance floor.
